Aidy won't rush judgements

New Colchester United boss Aidy Boothroyd insists every player at the club will be given their chance to impress at the start of his reign. Boothroyd has inherited a squad which harbours genuine hopes of promotion following a strong start to the season under former manager Paul Lambert. Several players - including experienced duo Matt Lockwood and Matt Heath - have started the season on the sidelines, but Boothroyd has pledged to give every player a fair crack of the whip. "Every single player here has something to bring to the party," said the former Watford boss. "I'm not here to denigrate other managers and what they do is up to them. "It's a long season and you have to treat people how you find them - respect goes both ways. "Injuries and suspensions are part and parcel of football and we will need those guys."
