Ward undecided on skipper
Colchester manager John Ward has yet to name his captain for the new season.
Centre-half Magnus Okuonghae wore the armband for the majority of last term but Ward has other potential candidates in mind ahead of Saturday's opener at Exeter.
"I've not told the lads my decision yet but I want to talk to two or three people and clear it up one way or the other," he said.
"If they want the same as me then we will get the captain named pretty quickly."
