Ward stays upbeat

Boss John Ward tried to find the positives from a fourth consecutive defeat away to Tranmere. Enoch Showunmi scored the decisive goal after 53 minutes to continue Colchester's slide. "The effort and performance warranted something from the game," said Ward. "We are going through a period which we have all got to weather. We did not enjoy that bit of luck today. We had a good early chance and later saw one effort headed off the line. "I am sure things will turn for us. The players had a real good go at it. We were organised and together but could not find that vital goal. We have not had the breaks." "Naturally the players are very disappointed but we have got to remain positive."
