Ward revels in Us win

Colchester boss John Ward was in jubilant mood following his side's 2-1 victory over promotion rivals Peterborough. David Mooney snatched a late winner for the Us after Steven Gillespie had cancelled out Tommy Rowe's first-minute opener. Colchester move up to ninth in npower League One as a result and sit just one point behind sixth-placed Posh. A delighted Ward crowed: "It's a famous win - it's one of those wins that will be remembered for a long time. We've beaten a good team - they played well against us and (Peterborough boss) Darren (Ferguson) will be wondering how they lost the game. "We had a lot of defending to do and there was a major question mark after we conceded a goal in the first minute. We didn't play well in the first 25-minute period but I think if you're a Colchester supporter, you'll be very pleased. "The team we have do not go away - they're resilient and yet again we've come from behind. I'm really pleased with the victory and the way it's come about against a good team."
