Colchester manager John Ward praised his players after they secured a 1-1 draw at Peterborough. Ian Henderson netted a 17th-minute equaliser for the Us following George Boyd's opener for the Posh 11 minutes earlier. Ward, who saw his team end a near nine-and-a-half hour goal drought on the road, said: "I think my lads deserve plenty of credit for the way they stood up to a Peterborough team with a lot of Championship-quality players. "We produced a great response after going behind early on and it was obviously a good feeling to see us get a goal on the road after our recent troubles in that department. "Ian Henderson scored and has done very well since coming into the side recently. He is keeping a good player in Ashley Vincent on the bench at the moment." On the quality of the game, he added: "Two teams went toe-to-toe on an absolute pudding of a pitch and created a terrifically entertaining game for the supporters. I know I enjoyed watching it. This match was everything that is so good about English football and I can easily understand why they have had so many high-scoring matches down here."
