Ward positive after defeat

Colchester manager John Ward was pleased with the positive approach shown by his side despite their 2-0 loss at Brighton. Goals in each half by Inigo Calderon and substitute Craig Noone condemned the Us to defeat before they had defender Pat Baldwin sent off late in the game for two bookable offences. The defeat leaves Colchester with only one win from their last seven league games. Ward said: "We had a go and were on the front foot against the leaders. "We wanted to have a positive approach and I would do the same on Saturday if we had to play them. "We had a good spell in the second half but couldn`t finish it off."
