Colchester manager John Ward believes there is more to come from his side next season after they closed the season with a 2-1 home win over relegated Bristol Rovers. U's striker Liam Henderson struck twice in two first-half minutes for his first senior goals to condemn Roversto npower League Two. The visitors secured a consolation goal through substitute Elliot Richards. Ward said: "We finished 10th by two points. I don't know how it ranks in the history of the club, but I do know that we finished eighth last season and that was fourth best-ever finish. "It must be in the top-six somewhere of the best finishes the club's ever had. I have to be satisfied with that, but there's more to come. "The first half was terrific. It's really hard to sustain all of those things, but for me that makes the benchmark for next year. "There was a lot of good movement, a lot of good play and a lot of energy in the first-half display. The second half was more awkward and Bristol Rovers weren't going to lie down, but there were a lot of really good things. There's a lot of encouragement for next time."
