Ward keeps faith with Cousins

Colchester boss John Ward has backed goalkeeper Mark Cousins to bounce back from his errors in the Us second round Carling Cup clash with Sunderland. Cousins was at fault for both of Darren Bent's goals for the Black Cats as the U's were beaten 2-0. However, Ward is keeping faith in his gloveman and has already told Cousins he will be in Colchester's starting line-up against Carlisle United on Friday night. Ward said: "Mark made a couple of errors like everyone else in the team but unfortunately for him, they ended up in the back of the net. "The good thing was that he wasn't affected by it and he went on to make a couple of good saves in the second half."
