Colchester boss John Ward described his side as "absolutely fantastic" after seeing them dominate for long spells in a 1-1 draw at MK Dons. Dons winger Angeloe Balanta ran at the visitors' defence and curled home from long range in the 66th minute to cancel out Magnus Okuonghae's first-half opener for Colchester, who remain unbeaten in League One. Ward said: "We had enough chances in the football match to win two or three games, but we've been absolutely fantastic. "The attitude of the team and the ability we showed against a team that's undefeated at home is great. They have got aspirations like us to be up around that top part of the league, but we've performed very positively and very strongly and I've got nothing but praise for my team. "The dressing room feels like we have got beaten, which is power to what the players think of themselves. This group of people are terrific for me and I'm proud to be their manager at the moment. The rest of the world will see it as a draw and they will go `that's not a bad point for Colchester'. "But the people that were here, even the MK Dons fans, know that we looked a very good side. Somebody somewhere is going to take a bit of a beating soon I guess."
