Ward given green light to buy
Colchester chairman Robbie Cowling has promised to make funds available for manager John Ward to strengthen his squad.
Ward is in the market for a striker following Clive Platt's departure to Coventry and has been linked with Marvin Morgan of Aldershot.
Cowling told the Gazette: "We've had our eye on a few people and there are funds available to get the right person in.
"We're still running a really healthy budget and we're attracting the right players."
