It was no secret the pacy winger was on his way out of Whaddon Road but it was more a matter of when and where, with MK Dons and Brentford appearing to lead the chase for the 23-year-old. But League One play-off hopefuls Colchester look to have won the race for his signature and Vincent, who is currently sidelined with a knee problem, could sign as early as Tuesday if he passes a medical. The former Wolves man is out of contract in the summer and with cash-strapped Cheltenham keen to improve their financial situation, he will likely move on loan until the end of the season before sealing a permanent switch in the summer. He will join former Robins forward Steven Gillespie after he also moved to the Essex club last summer. "It's no surprise to me that Ashley is moving on," Allen told the club's official website. "It looks like he is going to a very progressive club in Colchester United." Meanwhile, Cheltenham have extended Nicholas Bignall's loan stay from Reading into a third and final month, meaning he will now be available until Saturday April 18.
