Vincelot pegs back Us

Romain Vincelot's header claimed a well-deserved away point for Dagenham in a 2-2 draw at unbeaten Colchester. Bas Savage gave the Daggers a 15th-minute lead when he tapped home from two yards from Gavin Tomlin's low assist, after Phil Ifil's cross had only been partially been cleared by Paul Reid. But Colchester were back on level terms two minutes before the break through Ashley Vincent, who headed in Andrew Bond's cross from six yards. Savage fired wide on the stroke of half-time but Colchester improved after the break and were ahead with 25 minutes to go. David Perkins latched onto a quick throw and found David Mooney, who took a touch before curling a precise shot past Dagenham goalkeeper Tony Roberts. However, Vincelot equalised seven minutes later after bravely heading in Danny Green's cross from close range and then had to be taken to hospital, following a sickening clash of heads with Colchester's Magnus Okuonghae, as the game finished all square.
