Colchester will not receive any add-on fees following Norwich's promotion to the Premier League. Defender Marc Tierney left the Us in January to link up with the Canaries for an undisclosed fee, while midfielder David Fox departed for Carrow Road last summer, also for an undisclosed fee. The pair went on to play a major part in Paul Lambert's promotion winning side this season but chairman Robbie Cowling has revealed all the money involved was paid up-front. He told the Colchester Gazette: "When we sold both players, we insisted that we received any transfer money straight away. "They did offer it but we insisted that the fee was paid straight away, with no add-ons."
