U's will not rush boss appointment

Brentford boss Andy Scott, ex-Watford chief Adrian Boothroyd and former U's stars Mark Kinsella and Teddy Sheringham have all been linked with the vacancy at the Community Stadium. But Tuesday night's win over Gillingham showed the club is in good hands under caretaker boss Joe Dunne, and chief executive Steve Bradshaw will not be rushing any decision on Lambert's successor. "We have already had a remarkable amount of interest from a large amount of candidates but it's really important not to make a knee-jerk appointment," said Bradshaw "Three weeks is the outside limit but if it happens before that, then all well and good."
