Us trio on the mend
Magnus Okuonghae, Pat Baldwin and Marc Tierney are pushing to return to the Colchester squad for the trip to Bournemouth.
Okuonghae missed last weekend's win over Notts County with an ankle injury but has trained this week and faces a late check.
Fellow centre-half Baldwin played for the reserves in midweek to prove his fitness following a foot injury and full-back Tierney is also back in training after a shoulder problem.
But winger Simon Hackney is still on the sidelines with a back injury and striker Steven Gillespie misses out with a thigh strain.
Boss John Ward is considering handing Kayode Odejayi a place in the starting line-up after he scored twice as a substitute last weekend.
