Us run rule over duo
Colchester have handed trials to former Ipswich defender Seb Dunbar and West Ham striker Dan Subuola.
The young duo were given the chance to impress in front of boss John Ward in the Us' reserves 2-2 draw against Stevenage on Wednesday night.
"We are always looking at the future," said Ward.
"The two lads have been told they won't be offered a contract at their clubs, so it is always worth our while to look at players like this.
"I'll be speaking to them and we'll see where we go from there."
Ian Henderson and recent signing Conor Powell were on target for the Us.
