U's pair target comebacks

Colchester's promotion bid is set for a major boost with long-term injury absentees John-Joe O'Toole and Morten Knudsen close to comebacks. Former Watford midfielder O'Toole has been sidelined since April with a cruciate injury and defender Knudsen has yet to make his debut for the Us due to a similar problem. But the duo are back in training and have been pencilled in for a reserve outing before Christmas ahead of a potential first-team return early in the new year. "It's going to be like two new signings for me," said manager John Ward. "They'll add some really good competition for us."
