U's keep unbeaten record intact

Colchester maintained their unbeaten League One record with an entertaining 1-1 draw against Plymouth. Andy Bond nodded the hosts in front before Argyle skipper Reda Johnson levelled shortly after the interval. Marc Tierney and Ashley Vincent both went close early on for the U's, before Bond headed in his fourth goal in six league games from Anthony Wordsworth's corner in the 22nd minute. Wordsworth sent a long-range effort just wide, while David Mooney also went close for Colchester before half-time when he sent a low shot past the post. Plymouth boss Peter Reid switched things around at half-time, replacing Dean Parrett with Craig Noone and adopting a more attacking shape. The changes paid dividends straight away, with skipper Johnson sweeping home from close range after the U's had failed to deal properly with Kari Arnason's corner three minutes after half-time. Plymouth were reduced to 10 men with four minutes to go when defender Lee Molyneux received a second yellow card for pulling back David Perkins but the spoils were shared.
