U's defender relishing Villa test
Paul Lambert's side will play host to a strong Villa squad and Maybury feels the Us will relish the chance to pit their wits against Premier League opposition.
"We've played two games already but this is a step up now as we prepare for the new season, and we'll see if we are moving in the right direction," he said.
"We think we have got some good players here, we have added to the squad and we will have a good indication of where we are at and whether we are taking on board what the manager wants.
"He says that if we can get into his way of thinking then we can do well this season.
"The game is a good test, they are good quality opposition so let's test ourselves and see if we are doing the right things."
