U's boss rues spot-kick decision

Two goals from Gary Hooper and one from Henri Lansbury all but ended the Essex club's hopes of making the play-offs and Lambert struggled to hide his disappointment. "In the end we were well beaten but it might have been so very different if we had got the penalty," said Lambert, referring to a foul on Mark Yeates. "I have just seen it on the match DVD and it really was a stonewall penalty. "If we had got that when we were still only a goal down then it might have made all the difference. "But after the penalty we then conceded a second goal which was as a result of some poor defending by us and that was the end of our hopes of getting something from the game."
