U's boss hails defender White
Boothroyd recently brought in Christian Ribeiro on loan but an injury to the Bristol City man has seen White regain his spot at right-back, from where he produced a fine display in Monday's 2-0 Essex derby win over Southend.[LNB]"I see full-backs as the modern-day playmakers. At our club we have strong, athletic full-backs who are good defenders," said Boothroyd.[LNB]"To get them to that next level they need to get on the ball and be composed, with people offering them some movement to pass to.[LNB]"I have been thrilled to see John do that recently and he did that very well against Southend.[LNB]"If bringing Christian into the club has moved John to another level then that's great for me.
