Triple defensive boost

Colchester should welcome back three defenders for the visit of Huddersfield. Right-back Brian Wilson has resumed training this week after nearly a month on the sidelines with an ankle injury. Centre-half Paul Reid (dead leg) and left-back Tommy Williams (calf) also missed the midweek Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat by Wycombe and are expected to return. But Pat Baldwin is still struggling with a foot injury and Marc Tierney is recovering from a dislocated shoulder. Ben Williams got the nod in goal on Tuesday night but Mark Cousins has been the preferred choice this season and should start. Midfielder John-Joe O'Toole and defender Morten Knudsen (both knee) are still on the sidelines and not expected back until the new year.
