Triple boost for United

Colchester have received a triple fitness boost ahead of the visit of Plymouth. Goalkeeper Ben Williams (ankle), defender Paul Reid (groin) and summer signing Ben Coker (ankle) all came through 90 minutes of a midweek reserve match following injury lay-offs. However, manager John Ward is unlikely to make changes following last weekend's win over Walsall meaning Williams, last season's player of the year, will probably be on the bench as cover for Mark Cousins. Striker Ian Henderson picked up a knock in training on Tuesday but he is expected to be fit. Fellow forward Steven Gillespie is back in training following an ankle injury but he could do with a reserve outing. Long-term absentees John-Joe O'Toole and Morten Knudsen (both knee) have started running as they step up their rehabilitation.
