Top six with U's is Clarke focus

Colchester defender Nathan Clarke is determined to get the U's into the play-offs, even if it comes at the cost of his parent club Huddersfield.Clarke, 27, is on loan from the promotion-chasing Terriers. [LNB]He told BBC Essex: "Huddersfield are doing well and rightly so as they have a strong squad. [LNB]"But I'm here and I want to do everything I can to make sure that final push for the U's is a positive one," he added. [LNB]Since making the switch from the Galpharm Stadium in January, Clarke has made five appearances for John Ward's side, who are 10th in the Championship and four points adrift of the play-offs. [LNB]And after spending all of his professional career up to now with Huddersfield, the centre-half is getting used to his new surroundings. [LNB]But he insisted he had not contemplated his future beyond the end of his loan spell, which finishes at the end of the season. [LNB]"With the amount of games and training we're doing, I'm just taking it as it comes," he explained. [LNB]"If I keep giving the performances I know I can then anything can happen.
