Thomas impresses in U's trial
The 25-year-old made just one appearance in 18 months for the Eagles and was released last month.[LNB]Thomas has since signed for Billericay Town but the non-league club have given Colchester permission to run the rule over him.[LNB]He made an instant impression with two goals in a 5-1 win for the reserves against Essex neighbours Southend on Wednesday afternoon.[LNB][LNB]
