Platt has been an ever-present since Aidy Boothroyd took over the U's yet had failed to score in the league since the opening-day drubbing of Norwich.[LNB]However, the 32-year-old has now scored three goals in two games which has quietened some fans' calls to give Steven Gillespie a chance in his place.[LNB]"It had been a while since I scored in the league, but I've been playing with Kay (Odejayi) and he's been getting the goals," he told the East Anglian Daily Times.[LNB]"Of course not scoring plays on your mind as a striker, but as long as someone is scoring for the team then that's the main thing."[LNB][LNB]
