Pittman snatches late draw with U's

Kayode Odejayi had put the visitors ahead and they looked on course for the three points until Pittman popped up, though Wanderers do slip to the bottom of the table as a result of the draw. On the quarter hour John-Joe O'Toole broke into the Wanderers' box but faced with Scott Shearer, he blazed well over. The Us did lead a few minutes later, though, when a horrendous error by Shearer on the edge of his box allowed Odejayi to steal the ball and stroke into an empty net. The lead was almost doubled soon after when O'Toole picked the ball up 30 yards out and hit a powerful dipping effort but Shearer managed to tip over. The Chairboys started brightly after the break and came close to equalising when substitute Pittman cut back to Reading loanee Scott Davies, but his curling strike went just wide. Wycombe pushed hard in the closing stages and got their reward with less than five minutes left when Pittman latched onto a great through-ball from Craig Woodman and slid home past Ben Williams.
