Perth Glory still keen on Coyne

The 30-year-old Australia international is believed to be weighing up an offer from the A-League side as well as others from clubs in Europe, the Middle East and China. Mitchell had hoped to have an answer from the defender by the end of last week but he is prepared to wait as long as it takes to get his man. "There's a bit of speculation going about but we've put a good offer in and we're waiting to hear what the answer is," Mitchell said. "Hopefully it's enough. There is a feeling that he wants to come back to Australia but, again, he's got quite a few offers and he's just weighing them up. "We've put in our offer to him and we're just waiting to see." Coyne, a native of Perth, has already been urged to return to Australia by his brother and Glory captain Jamie. But Mitchell understands the former West Ham and Luton player's reasons for taking his time to consider his next move. "It's always like that when you want good players and the situation is he's got a lot of offers, so he's got a lot of things in his head he's got to work out," he added. "He's committed to saying he does want to come to Perth but he's got to look at the situation and the big picture financially."
