Perkins request backed by Dunne
The 27-year-old, who joined the U's from Rochdale in July last year, has struggled to settle in the south and is also frustrated at losing his first-team place at the Community Stadium.
"I can understand his frustrations as he hasn't played a great deal," said Dunne.
"His reasons are genuine and he just wants to play football, and he has been good for the club.
"We will see how it unfolds, but things might change next week."
