Perkins picked as pride of Colchester

Colchester midfielder David Perkins has landed four prizes at the club's Player of the Year awards. The 28-year-old was named Players' Player of the Year, the club's Player of the Year and secured two Colchester United Supporters Association awards. Former Bury Town man Ben Coker was named Young Player of the Year, with striker Steven Gillespie picking up the Community Player of the Year prize. Midfielder Andy Bond's strike against Sheffield Wednesday earned him the Goal of the Season award.
