Perkins out for Us

David Perkins will be missing from the Colchester squad which travels to Brentford - but the midfielder should be back before the end of the season. Perkins feared his campaign was over when he suffered a hamstring injury against Sheffield Wednesday three weeks ago. But boss John Ward says the former Rochdale man has an outside chance of travelling to Yeovil next weekend. Ward has no new injuries to contend with but may make changes following last week's 4-1 drubbing at Carlisle. Centre-halves Magnus Okuonghae (ankle) and Pat Baldwin (Achilles) remain long-term absentees, while winger Simon Hackney has returned to the Community Stadium from his loan spell at League Two Oxford for treatment on a hamstring strain.
