The Nigerian international joined the U's in search of regular match action after falling out of favour at The Valley. And he made an immediate and lasting impact on his debut by earning them two penalties in the 2-0 defeat of Hartlepool. "It was a good to start with a win and it's important to start off in the right way," he told the Daily Gazette. "Hopefully I can go from strength to strength under the new management we have here. "It's a bit disappointing to go out on loan but I needed to go out and get games. "I just want to make an impact at Colchester and kick-start my career."
