Lockwood frustrated at Colchester

The 33-year-old defender impressed during a loan spell at Dagenham earlier in the campaign, although he has accepted a move back to the League Two club is unlikely.[LNB]"It is always good to play for a side which is doing well and during my time there they were competing for top spot in the table, so every game was a big one," Lockwood told skysports.com. [LNB]"I really enjoyed it and I knew a couple of the boys there before I got there, so it was a great move for me.[LNB]"Dagenham were keen to keep me on there but they didn't want to extend the loan because they would have needed to include a 24-hour recall into the deal and they didn't like that.[LNB]"I reassured them that it would be very unlikely that Colchester would want me back, but that was their decision and I had to come back. The gaffer only wants permanent players there, which I don't mind, but they have to go through Colchester for that first.[LNB]"It is just a case of sitting and hoping that someone remembers what I can do and are looking for an experienced left-back that can still play a bit."[LNB][LNB]
