Colchester stretched their unbeaten run under Aidy Boothroyd to seven matches as they edged a closely contested Essex derby at Leyton Orient. The visitors broke the deadlock with a Kayode Odejayi header after a flick-on from an Anthony Wordsworth corner. Orient's replacement keeper Glenn Morris, on for the injured Jamie Jones, made a superb save to deny midfielder John-Joe O'Toole. Colchester keeper Ben Williams tipped over a late drive from Andros Townsend. Leyton Orient manager Geraint Williams told BBC London 94.9: "It was a frustrating afternoon, a tough game physically. It was a set piece that cost us the game. "I was disappointed, we wanted to get the ball down to play but it was very difficult and they are a big strong side. "We didn't look like too much in the second half, what let us down was our delivery from our set pieces, we didn't test the goalkeeper."
