Lambert's boys fall short at home

Leeds extended their unbeaten league run to nine matches in front of the biggest-ever league crowd at the Weston Homes Community Stadium, with Luciano Becchio's goal just before the half-hour mark proving the difference in front of a crowd of 9,559. Lambert said: "There wasn't much in it, but we just fell short. "There was plenty of endeavour and there was no fear factor there from us, but we could not break them down. "The second half was just a battle and it was always going to be one little bit of magic that won the game and that's what it proved. "I think the turning point in the game was their goalkeeper making a save from Mark Yeates and Karl Hawley also had a shot. Mark got the ball in between the two strikers, but we just lacked that bit of quality."
