Lambert looking for home comforts

The U's moved into the Weston Homes Community stadium at the start of last term after leaving Layer Road, but struggled to adapt to their new surroundings at times. Lambert wants the club to stamp their identity on their new home and many fans have already agreed to his request to move to behind the goal in the south stand next season. "There are things we want to do to give the club an identity here and make it feel more like a home than it does at the moment," Lambert told the club's official website. "Teams would go to Layer Road and know that they were in for a tough afternoon and I think at times the new stadium has felt a bit like a new house. "But with what the fans are doing and what we're doing, I think we can make it a difficult place to come and turn it into a real football stadium."
