Ryan Shotton's headed goal early in the second half gave Rovers a 1-0 win at the Community Stadium and ended the Us' nine-match unbeaten run.[LNB]Colchester's three wins and two draws last month earned Lambert the League One manager's accolade for January, but their splendid run came to a halt in their first game since he was handed the award last Thursday.[LNB]He said: "I think the award is a curse! But the run had to come to an end some time and you can't win every single game.[LNB]"Whatever it was, whether it was the break we have had of 10 days or not having the chance to train, I don't know. But take nothing away from Tranmere because they were the better team on the night.[LNB]"I can't be too critical of the lads and we can't be too despondent because they have been terrific for me. We just have to bounce back now and then we'll see how far we've come."[LNB][LNB]
