Colchester boss Paul Lambert insists the club acted correctly in trying to extend goalkeeper Jimmy Walker's loan .The U's believed they had agreed to keep the West Ham stopper until the end of the season. But the Football League said they had not received the paperwork before the end of January's transfer deadline day."My understanding is the paperwork was sent before five o'clock and we sent it, there's no doubt because I saw the fax," Lambert told BBC Essex."They're saying they never received it until after the deadline, but we'd sent it and we have proof that we've sent some stuff, so it's in limbo at the moment," added the U's boss."We're trying our best to try and rectify it."Walker's current loan spell is due to end on 5 March.
