I will not make crazy transfer decisions - Ward

Colchester manager John Ward insists he has no intention of panic buying this month. Ward has so far drafted in Irish rookie Conor Powell and Iceland international Matthmas Vilhjalmsson, while Marc Tierney has left for Norwich and fellow defender Paul Reid joined Scunthorpe. Ward is keeping an eye on the transfer market but will not be splashing the cash for the sake of it. "I am trying to improve what we've got but I'm not going to rush into any crazy decisions," he said. "If I get players in they will have to improve what we've got."
