Huddersfield 0-0 Colchester: Report

22 January 2011 17:39
Bennett makes point Two brilliant saves in stoppage time from veteran keeper Ian Bennett earned Huddersfield a point from a goalless draw against Colchester. Bennett, 39, first dived at the feet of substitute Kayode Odejayi in the 90th minute after the Nigerian striker was put through by Anthony Wordsworth. He then parried Odejayi's goalbound header at the near post following a teasing cross from the left by Wordsworth. At the other end, a brilliant save from Ben Williams was the highlight of Colchester's rearguard action as they resisted a second-half barrage to earn a valuable point. Williams, a former Manchester United trainee, acrobatically tipped a close-range bullet header from Huddersfield's Jamie McCombe after 60 minutes.
