Hamstrung Gillespie eyes return
Gillespie sustained a hamstring injury on the pre-season tour of Germany and has missed friendlies against Ipswich, Heybridge Swifts and Histon, where Anthony Wordsworth's late free-kick ensured the Us a 1-0 win.
Gillespie told the Gazette: "I'm back in training now and we only have a week or two before the new season.
"I've done a bit of running over the last few days and I've been able to step it up a little bit. It would be great to get some match practice under my belt.
"I hope I may be able to play a part against Ebbsfleet. But it's about getting it right and not coming back too soon."
