Cowling disappointed with U's
Manager Paul Lambert led the U's to a 12th-placed finish in League One but that was some way off the standards expected by Cowling in their first season after relegation from the Championship.[LNB]And he told the Colchester Gazette: "I have to be honest and say that I've been really disappointed with the season just gone.[LNB]"I think we had a good enough squad to have done a lot better. Maybe the move to the new stadium was a factor, I'm not sure.[LNB]"I think the relegation also had an impact on the team. What we have seen this year has been the best away form in the club's history - and quite possibly the worst at home.[LNB]"There are lots of things to consider. But what I do know is that everyone has done everything to try and make it a success."[LNB][LNB]
