Cousins delighted with new deal
The 22-year-old made 13 appearances this term, including five clean sheets, and is keen to try and establish himself as the U's regular number one.
"It was a good opportunity for me to commit for another two years," he told the club's official website. "I played 13 games last season and to me that showed that the manager has faith in me to play me.
"It has given me a taste for first-team action and I hope to get more games under my belt next season."
