U's waiting on Khumalo clearance

Colchester hope to receive international clearance for new loan signing Bongani Khumalo in time for the home game against Yeovil.

The South Africa international joined on loan until the end of the season from Tottenham on Saturday, but did not feature in the home defeat to Crawley.

Norwich winger Jacob Murphy went straight into the starting line-up after he too arrived at the weekend and is expected to continue as Colchester bid to halt a four-game losing streak.

Striker Rhys Healey overcame an ankle problem to step off the bench against Crawley and while boss Tony Humes has no major new selection problems, midfielder Tom Lapslie (ankle) is still out.

Terry Skiverton could ring the changes as Yeovil look to leapfrog their hosts.

The Glovers, now seven points from safety, were able to recall captain Joe Edwards for the defeat at Leyton Orient on Saturday and he looks set to keep his place while strikers James Hayter and Kieffer Moore will hope to earn starts.

Adam Morgan was substituted after just 31 minutes on Saturday and may drop to the bench as Yeovil look for their first away win over 2015.

Skiverton, who remains without long-term absentees Kevin Dawson and Simon Gillet, will also have to decide whether to stick with his five-man midfield for this crucial clash.
