Sesay set for U's bow

On-loan defender Alie Sesay is set to make his Colchester debut when they entertain managerless Shrewsbury.

The 20-year-old joined the U's from Leicester last week on a deal until the end of the season as cover for long-term absentee Josh Thompson (ankle).

United boss Joe Dunne has been boosted by Gavin Massey's return to full training, while Tom Eastman has overcome the back injury he picked up last time out at Carlisle.

Shrewsbury caretaker manager Michael Jackson will assess Aaron Wildig.

The midfielder suffered a thigh problem against MK Dons and has missed the last two games.

Jackson could hand Bahrudin Atajic his full debut after the on-loan Celtic striker made his first appearance for the Shrews from the bench in Saturday's 3-1 defeat at Swindon.

Jermaine Grandison was also a second-half substitute at the County Ground and he will be hoping to put a run of games together after a lengthy spell out with a hip injury.

David Wright has been receiving treatment on a calf problem and faces a race against time to be fit for the midweek clash.
