Watt struggling for U's

Sanchez Watt returns for struggling Colchester as they look to end a three-match losing run at home to high-flying Rotherham.

The forward has missed defeats against Leyton Orient, Sheffield United and Preston since seeing red in the U's goalless draw at Swindon.

Colchester put up strong resistance at Brisbane Road on Saturday before going down 2-1, with goalscorer Marcus Bean pushing strongly for a recall against the Millers having been dropped to the bench.

Midfielder Alex Gilbey (hamstring) will again be assessed, Drey Wright (knee) is closing in on his return but long-term absentee Josh Thompson (ankle) remains sidelined for the foreseeable future.

Rotherham will be without Kari Arnason for their rearranged trip.

The 31-year-old is on international duty with Iceland, who play Wales, so he will play no part in Essex as the Millers aim to make it nine games unbeaten.

That could allow fit-again Claude Davis a route straight back into the side after he missed Saturday's thumping 6-0 win over Notts County with an ankle injury.

Striker Wes Thomas (thigh) also missed out at the weekend, and although he has fully recovered, he will do well to get back into the starting line-up following Haris Vuckic's brace in his absence.
