Watt back in U's frame

Sanchez Watt will be looking to start as Colchester play host to Port Vale.

Forward Watt, a summer signing from Arsenal, missed last Saturday's 1-0 victory at Gillingham due to a leg injury but returned as a second-half substitute in Tuesday's 5-1 Capital One Cup defeat to Peterborough.

Otherwise, manager Joe Dunne has a fully-fit squad for Vale's visit.

Freddie Sears was dropped to the bench in midweek while Marcus Bean (virus) and Gavin Massey were rested altogether, and it remains tobe seen how Dunne will line up as the U's look for back-to-back league wins.

Manager Micky Adams faces a selection dilemma ahead of Port Vale's trip.

After seeing his side hold Brentford, who are considered one of the promotion favourites, to a 1-1 draw on the opening day of the League One campaign Adams named an unchanged team for the visit of Walsall in the Capital One Cup.

However, after losing to the Saddlers in midweek the Vale boss has to decide whether to give the same players a chance to redeem themselves or introduce some fresh faces to his starting XI.

The likes of Louis Dodds, Ben Williamson, Kaid Mohamed, Richard Duffy, Chris Birchall and Lee Hughes are waiting for their chance, while young defender Joe Davis (knee) will probably be the only absentee.
