Dickson back to boost U's

Ryan Dickson will hope to return to Colchester's squad for the home clash against early League One pace-setters Leyton Orient.

The left-back missed last Friday's 1-1 draw against Carlisle due to a virus, with academy graduate Tosin Olufemi stepping in for his first senior start.

Otherwise, manager Joe Dunne is likely to stick with the same side which has held Sheffield United and Carlisle and beaten Port Vale.

The U's are unbeaten in their first four matches of the league season but face a stern test against an O's outfit who boast a 100 per cent record, scoring 11 times in their four matches and conceding just once.

Mathieu Baudry could return to the Leyton Orient defence for the trip.

Defender Baudry dropped to the bench to rest a hip injury as the O's took Barclays Premier League side Hull to extra-time before bowing out of the Capital One Cup 1-0 on Tuesday night.

Moses Odubajo, who shrugged off a knock to his knee to play, deputised at right-back and could return to his preferred midfield position.

On-loan Burnley midfielder Marvin Bartley, who has had a slight hamstring niggle, made his full debut against the Tigers and lasted 70 minutes while striker Shaun Batt could be added to the squad following his hamstring problem.
