Colchester are not expected to have any new injury or suspension concerns for the visit of Gillingham.

Manager Joe Dunne made two changes for the goalless draw at MK Dons on New Year's Day, the club's last outing, and Sanchez Watt and Ryan Dickson will both hope to have done enough to keep hold of their starting berths.

Goalkeeper Sam Walker put in a fine display at stadium:mk and he plays the penultimate game of his current loan spell from Chelsea.

The likes of Freddie Sears, Clinton Morrison, Blair Turgott and Dominic Vose are pushing for recalls, but the game is likely to have come too soon for Gavin Massey (hamstring), Drey Wright (knee) and Josh Thompson (ankle).

Connor Smith is in contention for his Gillingham debut.

The midfielder arrived from Watford this week on a loan deal until the end of the season and will go straight into Peter Taylor's plans at the Weston Homes Community Stadium.

The Gills boss has also received good news on the injury front with Myles Weston fit and available after a hamstring problem, while striker Danny Kedwell continues to successfully manage his hernia complaint.

Midfielder Chris Whelpdale is the only player to miss out as struggles with an ankle injury.
