As you were for U's

Colchester boss Tony Humes could select his starting line-up for the home game against Crewe from an unchanged squad.

The U's have lost only one of their last five league games and Humes has no major new injury or suspension worries following last week's draw at Bradford.

Kaspars Gorkss left the club last week for Greek side Ergotelis and was replaced in central defence by Alex Wynter, while Ben Gordon stepped into midfield for the suspended Elliott Hewitt, who sits out the second game of a three-match ban.

Teenage defender Frankie Kent has targeted a return to full training later this month following knee surgery, while on-loan forward Jack Marriott is pushing for his first start.

Crewe midfielder Chris Atkinson has been ruled out of the trip.

The 22-year-old injured himself in the warm-up against MK Dons last weekend, with scans later revealing medial knee ligament damage.

Defender Jon Guthrie is expected to resume training next week after jarring his knee and could return for the visit of Fleetwood on February 14.

Fellow defender George Ray, who has an inflamed pubic bone, has trained and may feature while Matt Tootle continues his recovery after having a scan on his injured ankle earlier this week.
